Unlocking Potential: Our Vision at AMS It is with immense excitement that we present our vision for the 2024 -2025 academic year. At AMS, we firmly believe that students must be at the center of every decision we make, and our commitment to creating an inclusive, effective, and student-centered educational environment drives our work.

AMS is home to a remarkable group of professional educators who are deeply dedicated to doing what is best for our students. Our staff embrace innovation to enhance the lives of our students and we recognize the need for continuous growth and exploration.
Exciting Academy Structure Rollout:
We are very excited to announce the addition of AMS Academy Pursuits with 4 distinct Programs that students may choose: Athlete Development Academy, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) Academy, Fine Arts Academy, and Career and Technical Academy. This structured approach aims to provide tailored educational experiences, empowering students for future success, in a variety of fields and interests and will include Incorporation of Design Thinking and Career Exploration: where students will engage in design thinking and career exploration within the chosen fields providing valuable insights and skills for their future (students will not be limited and are able to experience and enroll in more than one academy). We will be rolling this out intentionally and these opportunities will be available as follows: ● Grade 7 (2024-2025), ● Grade 8 (2025-2026), ● Grade 9 (2026-2027): Innovative Opportunities Within the Academies:
Steam Academy
Athlete Development Academy
Fine Arts Academy
Career and Technical Academy
Skills Development and High School Credits:
● Career Exploration Opportunities: Partnerships with subject area experts will offer diverse career exploration opportunities, allowing students to discover and pursue their passions. ● High School Credits for Grade 9 Students: Encouraging Grade 9 students to earn CTF credits towards their high school diploma within a specialized focus area not consistently offered in high schools.
Community Connections & Partnerships:
● Inviting Experts into the School: Experts will be invited into our classrooms, showcasing real-world applications of knowledge. ● Showcasing Work at Local Businesses: Students will have the opportunity to showcase their work at local businesses, fostering community connections. ● Community Showcase Opportunities: We will actively seek and create opportunities to showcase student work within the community. At AMS, we believe that this innovative Academy structure is an incredible opportunity for our students, aligning with our belief that this is what is truly best for kids. We are dedicated to nurturing excellence, fostering growth, and preparing our students for a future filled with possibilities.
