Hot Lunch for Absent Students

🍎 Hot Lunch Reminder for Parents, Guardians & Students

If your child is going to be absent on a hot lunch day, please know that we will not hold onto the hot lunch for the following day or transfer ownership of hot lunches.

Unfortunately, it is simply too difficult to manage requests to hold or redistribute individual hot lunches when students are absent. We also cannot safely store a hot lunch for an extended period of time.

Parents or Guardians may contact Mrs. Cannon if they wish to pick up the hot lunch. Here is how and when.
👉 Please message Mrs Cannon on Edsby to let her know by 11:00am.
👉 The lunch can then be picked up from the office between 12:00 and 1:00 p.m.

After 1:00 p.m., we cannot safely continue to store the lunch.

If a guardian does not contact Mrs Cannon, the hot lunch will be donated to a student in need. 💙💛 This ensures that the meal does not go to waste and that another student who does not typically get a hot lunch can enjoy it.

Please also note that the office will not accept calls or messages from students requesting that a hot lunch be transferred to another student.

The only exception is that a sibling may pick up and enjoy the absent student’s hot lunch.
